Lee County DHR seeking Christmas gift donations for foster children, elderly clients

The Christmas Season is almost here at the Lee County Department of Human Resources.

Our agency will be providing Christmas assistance for the foster children and the elderly clients served by our agency and we are asking for the community’s help again this year.

One hundred percent of the tax deductible donations that DHR receives during this campaign will be used to provide Christmas gifts for foster children and elderly clients in Lee County. Vouchers to Auburn K-Mart or J.C. Penney will enable foster parents to shop for things that the foster child needs or wants. These donations will also be used to buy Christmas gifts for elderly and disabled clients in Lee County, many of whom have little or no family support.

DHR would like to thank the citizens of Lee County for the kind help and support that they have given to our agency in the past. This is a volunteer project and without your help, we would not be able to provide any Christmas assistance to our foster children or elderly clients.

Please make checks payable to:

Lee County DHR/ Christmas Fund,

1715 Corporate Drive, Opelika, Alabama 36801-1514

We would like to thank you again for your willingness to assist our agency in such a special way. Please contact Carolyn Mooty at (334) 737-1107 if you would like additional information.

-Carolyn Mooty, Christmas Coordinator and Jan Burke, Director
