Originally from West Africa, Séfako Kpomblekou Tidwell of Opelika opened her online business “Koko’s Boutique” nearly two years ago. Upon the success of her online business, Tidwell decided to expand and bring her authentic African clothing featuring an American mix to a storefront location in USA Town Center with expectations to open the second week of April.
The boutique offers clothing sizes ranging from S to 3X, as well as including children’s clothing and men’s apparel. Along with clothing, purses, shoes and jewelry will also be featured and available for purchase.
Tidwell is proud of her business that focuses on “West African culture meeting American culture where customers can expect diversity in the boutique with something for everyone.” When deciding on a location, a deciding huge factor for Tidwell was how “friendly Opelika is to small, local businesses.”
Customers may shop online and pay in full or through online payment plans. Online shopping will continue to be available once the boutique opens in USA Town Center. The projected store hours will be Monday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
