The 15th annual Garden in the Park is now planned for Saturday, May 1, 2021, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. It will be held at the Opelika Municipal Park.
This free event features all handmade or homegrown art. Festival attendees will have the opportunity to shop the work of 60-plus artists and makers who work with an array of mediums from jewelry, fiber, glass and ceramics. There will also be garden items such as plants, pots and birdhouses.
Safety precautions due to COVID-19 will include enforcing a mask mandate for attendees. Hand sanitizer stations will be available throughout the park.
Applications for artists are currently being accepted and can be downloaded from the Keep Opelika Beautiful website.
