Judith “Judy” Brazell Mader, 82, of Ocala, Florida, passed away peacefully in her home at Bridgewater Park on Nov. 27, 2020.  She was born April 2, 1938, in her hometown of Opelika, Alabama.  She was the daughter of the late Elizabeth Stanfield Brazell and the late James Andrews Brazell.  Judy moved to Ocala, Florida in 1988 when she married Rev. Myron Mader.  She and her husband are founding members of Trinity Lutheran Church. 

Judy is a 1956 graduate of Clift High School.  She graduated from the Sylacauga Hospital School of Nursing in 1961 and pursued a long-time career in nursing and later earned her real estate license as well.  She enjoyed gardening, sewing, drawing, painting, and talking about her children and grandchildren.

Judy is survived by her husband, Myron Mader of Ocala; her three children, Craig Kerr of Auburn; Lisa Greenway (Gary) of Greenville, South Carolina; and Candice Randall (Steve) of Roswell, Georgia; her sister, Betty Leach (Barney) of Gadsden, Alabama; her 6 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

A memorial service will be held after the Covid-19 spread concerns have passed.  Donations may be made in Judith’s name to Trinity Lutheran Church, 4001 NE 25th Ave, Ocala, FL 34479 or Hospice of Marion County in lieu of flowers. Online condolences may be sent to www.hiers-baxley.net.
