Sealed bids, subject to the conditions contained herein, will be received by the City of Opelika, Alabama, until 2:00 p.m., Local Time, Monday, February 6, 2017 and then publicly opened and read at the City Hall Conference Room of the City of Opelika for furnishing all labor and materials and equipment necessary to provide:
Installation of Conduit Systems for Power and Fiber Optic Facilities
within the city limits of Opelika, Alabama.
Contractor’s ability to perform all of the work within the required time shall be a primary consideration in the awarding of the Bid.
Copies of the bid documents may be requested from the City of Opelika Purchasing Department, which is located at 204 South 7th Street. If the bid amount exceeds $50,000 a bid bond will be required. Guarantee will be required with each bid as follows: At least five (5) percent of the amount of bid in the form of a certified check or Bid Bond payable to the City of Opelika, Alabama. Labor and Material Bond may be required when the bid is awarded.
The right is reserved, as the interest of the Owner may require, to reject any and all bids and to waive any informality in bids received.

Attention of bidders is called to the License required by Title 34, Chapter 8, Code of Alabama, 1975, as last amended, relating to the licensing of General Contractors if applicable.
