Pastor Carolyn Morton and the Samford Group hosted the inaugural Peacemakers and Prayer Warrior Outreach Day on Nov. 20 at Christian Care Ministries in Opelika.

The group received a proclamation from Opelika Mayor Gary Fuller, honoring and recognizing International Peacemakers and Prayer Warriors Outreach Day on the third Saturday of November. The speaker for the event was Opelika Ward 2 Council Member Erica Baker-Norris. And the theme was “ Put on the Full Armor of God” based on Ephesians 6:10-20.

A special thanks to Annie Baker-Mabury, the Gray family, Capt. Tony Amerson, the Opelika Police Department, Chief Roy Collier, Opelika Fire Department, Opelika and Auburn Moms Demand Action Group and former Lee County Commissioner John Andrew Harris.

Baker Norris, Rev. Ronnie Lowe and Evangelist Debra Lowe were honored during the event. The group appreciates the help, support and love from its supporters and the community.
