OPELIKA —

The annual get-to-know East Alabama’s high school football teams event, High School Media Days, is set for July 25 and 26 at the Bottling Plant Event Center in Opelika.

According to iHeartMedia Auburn Vice President of Programming Van Riggs, more than 20 area schools are planning to attend the event. Each school will bring its head coach, along with several of its top players, to be interviewed by local media regarding the upcoming football season.

Alabama High School Athletic Association (ASHAA) Executive Director Alvin Briggs and Alabama Independent School Association Executive Director Roddie Beck are slated to make appearances as well. The schedule for High School Media Days is still being finalized, but the event will run on both days from 8 a.m. to noon. The two-day event is sponsored by the Orthopaedic Clinic.
