Five Below, “a leading high-growth value retailer,” is projected to open this spring in the former home of Kinnuncan’s at 2221 Tiger Town Parkway in the Tiger Town Shopping Center. Kinnuncan’s, which was founded in Auburn, halted social media advertising and closed all storefronts in 2019.

Founded in 2002, Five Below is headquartered in Philadelphia and now has more than 900 operating stores in 36 states. The company is proud to offer a “vast majority of items priced $1-$5, and a handful of extreme value items priced up to just $10.”

Each store location is divided into eight unique worlds: style, room, play, create, party, candy, “New and Now” and “Ten Below Tech.” The company is proud to be reaching millions while becoming one of the fastest growing retailers for kids.

Five Below has given back to nonprofit organizations since 2006 through customer sales and fundraising. According to their website, the company has donated more than $19 million to Alex’s Lemonade Stand, St. Jude’s Research Hospital, Toys for Tots and others.
