District 38 Representative Debby Hamby Wood qualified Tuesday for the May 24 Republican primary. She is seeking re-election to her second term in the Alabama House.
Wood said in a statement:
“It’s been my honor and privilege to serve the people of Lee and Chambers Counties these last three years. I’m proud of what we’ve been able to accomplish and looking forward to doing even more to make our District a better place for our families, our children and our grandchildren.”
Wood is a small businesswoman from Valley, Alabama. She and Bobby, her husband of 30+ years, have two children and three grandchildren.
