David Duane Nash, 53, was born on Dec. 8, 1967, to his father, Duane Nash, and his mother, the late Sara Jeanette Richardson Baggett, and passed away on Jan. 2, 2021, at his residence in Opelika, Alabama.

David was a longtime pressman for the Opelika-Auburn News.

David was preceded in death by his sister, Carol Pouncey; son, Jared Nash; and mother-in-law, Vivian Brown.

David is survived by his wife, Cynthia Rutledge Nash; daughter, Jessica Long (Trey); son, Kristopher Sanders (Katarina); daughter, Carly Nash; and sister, Sandy Nash; sister-in-law, Sherry Noble (Wayne); seven grandchildren, Destiny Long, Caleigh Long, Carson Long, Ansleigh Fulford, Nash Long, Kade Sanders, and Kyle Hinds.

Visitation will be held in the Parlor at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home on Jan. 6, 2021 from 4 until 6 p.m.

A funeral service will follow in the Chapel at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home at 6 p.m.

A Graveside will be held in Garden Hills Cemetery on Jan. 11, 2021 at 2 p.m.
