Opelika High School Head Boys Track & Field Coach, Jimmy Johnson, has been named the 2020-21 Alabama Boys Track & Field (Outdoor) Coach of the Year by the NFHS Coaches Association. Coach Johnson was nominated by the Alabama High School Athletic Association as “most deserving for this honor”. According to the NFHS award letter, the honorees were selected based upon their coaching performance in the 2020-21 school year, lifetime community involvement, school involvement and philosophy of coaching. Coach Johnson has been the head track coach at Opelika High School for 11 years. Congratulations to Coach Johnson!
