The city of Opelika invites the public to join us on Thursday, Nov.11 as we host a Veterans Day Celebration and pause to say thank you to our veterans.

“We are honored to spend the morning with our veterans, first with breakfast and then by celebrating their bravery and sacrifice,” said Mayor Gary Fuller.

The morning begins with a breakfast at 9 a.m. for veterans and their families at Opelika Public Library located at 1100 Glenn St. The breakfast is free for veterans and their families.

At 10 a.m., the Veterans Day Celebration will also take place at Opelika Public Library, with Major General Sylvester Cannon as the guest speaker. The event will also showcase the Opelika High School Choir.
