The City of Opelika applauds Robins and Morton on winning the Excellence in Construction Award from the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) of Alabama for the construction of the new Opelika Police Department and Municipal Court Building.

Mayor Gary Fuller states, “We are extremely proud of the new facility and congratulate Robins and Morton on being recognized for this construction project. The 38,000 square foot facility provides an outstanding work environment for staff collaboration and boasts state-of-the-art technology and equipment for the city to better serve our community.”

Each year, ABC of Alabama provides the opportunity to its members to compete for honors in the construction industry’s premier annual awards program.

The Excellence in Construction awards program is the industry’s leading competition, developed to honor innovative and high-quality merit shop construction projects. The award honors all construction team members, including the contractor, owner, architect and engineer. The winning projects, selected from entries submitted from across the nation, were judged on complexity, attractiveness, unique challenges overcome, completion time, workmanship, innovation, safety and cost.

The city also congratulates the entire construction team who worked tirelessly to complete this project on budget and on time.
