CAVHCS will host a Beam Signing Ceremony to commemorate the new Columbus Community Based Outpatient Clinic under construction on 6900 River Road at 10 a.m. on Nov. 4, 2020
The ceremony will be held in the parking lot located at 1310 13th Ave. in Columbus.
The new Community Based Outpatient Clinic will be a 55,000 sq. ft. replacement for the current clinic located at 13th Street. The clinic will be located at the corner of River Road and Mobley Road at 6900 River Road in Columbus. Construction started on June 17, 2020 and currently, nearly all of the site has been cleared. The state-of-the-art, $6.3 million project is expected to be completed in late 2022.
The new clinic location provides the most significant number of enrolled veterans the closest geographic access to services.
This clinic will be in addition to the Fort Benning VA Clinic, which will continue to operate after the new clinic opens.

- Optometry
- Physical and Occupational Therapy
- Prosthetics Radiology
- Beneficiary Travel
- Podiatry
