Brian Marcus Clark, age 38, of Pine Grove Community, was born in Opelika on Aug. 30, 1973, and passed away at his home on Nov. 17, 2011. He was a member of Pine Grove Church.
Brian is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Rev. James and Mrs. Audrey McGrady; paternal grandparents, Mark Clark and Edith Clark Williams; great-uncle, Paul Harvey Price; aunt, Martha Joe Hoffpauir; and cousin, Kim Sizemore. He is survived by his parents, Mark and Gayle Clark; sister, Jolee Clark; great-aunt, Louise Price; as well as many cousins and other family members.
A funeral service was held on Nov. 20, 2011, at 2 p.m. at Pine Grove Church. Rev. Mark McCarty and Rev. Ricky Thomaston officiated, with speakers Bridget Smith PhD and Judson Price. Interment followed the service in Shady Grove Cemetery.
Visitation was held on Nov. 19, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Fredericks Funeral Home.
Brian had an incredible love of poems, music and writing. He was an accomplished writer, having been published on various occasions. He was also an avid Auburn University fan … War Eagle!
Flowers will be accepted and memorial contributions may be made to Pine Grove Church. Fredericks Funeral Home directed.
