The Opelika Parks and Rec track team competed in the ARPA State Track Meet on Sunday. The girls team came in second place while the boys placed fourth overall. Two of the girls broke state records. Caroline Couey won the 1600 meter for 11-12-year-old girls with a time of 6:16.73 (previous record was 6:20.72). Kaysee Dexter won in the shot put for 13-14-year-old girls with a distance of 22-08.00 (previous record 20-00.00).
