Do you need a little inspiration to help you get moving this month? The BigHouse Foundation started a Facebook challenge last Sunday to help benefit their mission of helping local children who are in foster care.

The BigHouse Hustle is a month-long run/walk challenge, according to BigHouse co-founder Micah Melnick.

“I just completed a one month, 100-mile challenge and it was great- here’s your chance to do it and support the BigHouse Foundation!” Melnick wrote in an email to her organization’s followers and supporters.

The BigHouse Hustle has 3 challenges to choose from:

-a 31-mile challenge (one mile a day)

-a 65-mile challenge (approximately two miles a day)

-a 100 mile challenge (approximately three or more miles a day)

Each individual can choose which challenge they want to participate in and send $30 to BigHouse’s Venmo or PayPal accounts to register. This includes their challenge T-shirt and event accountability group for the month. Their Venmo account name is  @bighouse-foundation and PayPal is bighouse@ourbighouse.org. Participants are welcome to donate above the $30 entry fee if they would like.

After registering, ask to join their Facebook group – “BigHouse Hustle May 2020 Challenge!”

The Facebook group will be divided into teams and will have daily encouragement and checkins to help you stay committed to completing your challenge. They will also log miles to see how many miles are being run for BigHouse as a group this month.

Participants are encouraged to recruit their friends and invite them to participate in the challenge.

At the end of the month, all competitors will receive their challenge T-shirt.

This challenge will run through June 17.
