Area Community Theatre

For the upcoming event, a “Holiday Walk in the Woods” at the Kreher Preserve and Nature Center, Auburn Area Community Theatre (AACT) is looking for reliable performers for a diverse representation of the local Auburn area community to present a variety of songs, instrumental pieces or spoken word performances that are holiday, unity or culturally themed. The event will take place on Dec. 18 and 19 and will entertain walking small-group tours through the piney winter woods with lights and decorations along the trail. Performance pieces should be family-friendly and highlight the diverse traditions and culture of our community, including Christmas favorites. Each performer will repeat one song/performance piece lasting three to five minutes, nine to ten times, over a two-hour period. To create a varied, high quality and appropriate performance experience for audiences, AACT will select performers through an application process.

Performers are limited to ages 16 and up, unless in a family or organizational grouping with an adult leader, due to safety protocol. Solo and duet performers are highly encouraged, with a maximum allowance of four people in a performing group.

Please visit www.auburnact.org for more information, including the application. Submissions should be turned in no later than Nov. 15; selections will be made by Nov. 22.
