AR Workshop is hosting a Summer Tie-Dye camp for children in the local area. AR Workshop designed the Summer Tie-Dye Camp for crafty youth ages 7 to 14. The camp will take place July 5 to 8, from 9:30 a.m. to noon. The cost of the camp is $195 per registrant.

AR Workshop currently has limited seats available and parents have until July 3 to register their children online at www.arworkshop.com/auburn.

Children attending the Summer Tie-Dye Camp will have the opportunity to create four “Do-It-Yourself” tie-dye projects over the course of the week. Project 1 will be creating a tie-dye shirt; project 2 will be designing a tie-dye canvas wall hanging; project 3 will be creating a personalized tie-dye pillowcase; and project 4 will be constructing a tie-dye 12×16 plank sign. Camp participants will be able to customize and choose their project designs and paint colors from AR Workshop’s decor line of paints.

The Summer Tie-Dye Camp is “a great opportunity to learn new skills and make new friends while creating memories” said Kimeran Keahey, the owner of the Auburn AR Workshop.

AR Workshop was started by Maureen Anders and Adria Ruff in 2010. These two designers realized their business was taking off and upgraded from a graphic design, party-styling DIY blog and Etsy shop, to “their own branded e-commerce platform and blog where thousands would visit and shop their online store for printable party goodies.” After six years, the women had clients and fans interested in hands-on workshops where they could learn skills from the expert designers.

AR Workshop’s website explains, “their dream of coming out from behind the screen to offer DIY workshops for home decor and other creative skills came true! The vision was to create an inspiring and charming boutique workshop that not only offers classes but sells unique and beautiful retail items.”

Now, over three years later, there are more than 150 AR Workshop locations across the country.
