Annual ‘Empty Bowls’ event to be held Feb. 13

Photo by Robert Noles The annual Empty Bowls Project, a fundrasing event that benefits the Food Bank of East Alabama, will be held Feb. 13 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Denson Drive Recreation Center. Handcrafted bowls made by volunteers are on sale for $10 each and will still be available up until the event. Each purchase includes a ticket to the event on Feb. 13. The event will feature local vendors who will provide soup. The Denson Drive Recreation Center is open from 9 a.m.- 7 p.m., Monday through Thursday and closes at 4 p.m. on Fridays.
