The 2018 ‘Empty Bowls’ event, an annual fundraiser that benefits the Food Bank of East of Alabama, will be held Feb. 10 from 10 a.m. -2 p.m. at the Denson Drive Recreation Center.
The event will showcase unique hand-crafted bowls made by volunteers for $10 each and the opportunity to purchase cookbooks featuring local chefs for $20 each. There will also be a chance to purchase a raffle ticket for $5 each with the possibility of winning prizes including artwork, meals and much more.
After purchasing a hand-crafted bowl, which includes a ticket to the event, participants will be able to fill their bowl with soup and freshly baked bread provided by local vendors. There will also be live music and pottery demonstrations during the event.
