ORDINANCE NO.  112-17
AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE ZONING
ORDINANCE AND ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF OPELIKA
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council (the “City Council”) of the City of Opelika, Alabama (the “City”) as follows:
Section 1.  That Ordinance 124-91 entitled “Zoning Ordinance City of Opelika, Alabama”, adopted on September 17, 1991, and the Zoning Map of the City of Opelika provided for and referred to therein, as previously amended and/or modified, be and the same is hereby amended by rezoning or redistricting the parcel of land hereinafter in this section described, so as to change such parcel from one class of district to another class of district as follows, to-wit:
From a R-4, GC District (Medium-Density Residential, Gateway Corridor Overlay District) to a C-3, GC District (General Commercial, Gateway Corridor Overlay District), the parcel of land hereinafter described:
Commencing at the Southwest corner of Section 8, Township 19 North, Range 27 East, Opelika, Lee County, Alabama; thence East Point of Beginning; thence East, a distance of 2649.71 feet; thence North, a distance of 101.01 feet to a found McCrory pin; thence North 00°09’20” West, a distance of 384.28 feet to a found Boles pin (CA00062) for a corner and point of beginning of the parcel to be rezoned from R4 to C3: from this POINT OF BEGINNING, thence along the North line of the current C3 Zone South 89°13’33” West, a distance of 419.95 feet to a point; thence continue along said zoning line South 89°34’22” West, a distance of 100.00 feet to a found pin (CA00062); thence continue along said zoning line North 88°37’36” West, a distance of 393.91 feet to a found ½” open top pin; thence continue along said zoning line South 89°34’41” West, a distance of 25.25 feet to a found ½” open top pin; thence North 00°45’14” West, a distance of 657.56 feet to a found pin (CA00062); thence North 89°03’16” East, a distance of 946.52 feet to a found ¾” crimped top iron pin; thence South 00°06’11” East, a distance of 675.96 feet to the point of beginning.
The above-described property is located in the 400 block of Columbus Parkway.
Section 2.  Any ordinance or part thereof in conflict with provisions of this Ordinance be and the same are hereby repealed.
Section 3.  This Ordinance shall be published in a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Opelika, Lee County, Alabama.
