Special to the
Opelika Observer

Starting on Jan. 7 and lasting through the month, the Auburn Area Community Theatre is holding workshops open to the public on Tuesdays from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Jan Dempsey Community Arts Center.
This is a great opportunity for anyone who is interested in local theatre but might be unsure how to get involved. An AACT Board Member will be present at every workshop to answer questions while participants engage in theatre activities, improvisational games and receive tips about auditioning or production.
There will also be time reserved for mingling so guests can get to know AACT and each other. The workshops are not sequential, so guests can attend as many or as few as they are able to. One does not have to attend all sessions, but what fun it would be! Participants should be at least 16 years of age. This will be a great opportunity to come out, have some fun and learn more about the local theatre community.
Auditions for the AACT’s next show “Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike” will begin in March.
