SYNOPSIS OF ZONING NOTICE

The City Council of the City of Opelika will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, August 6, 2013, at 7:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers of the Municipal Building, 204 S. 7th Street, Opelika, Lee County, Alabama, to consider the adoption of an ordinance to amend the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map of the City of Opelika by rezoning or redistricting the parcel of land hereinafter described so as to change such parcel from one class of district to another class of district, as follows:

(a) From a R-5 District (High Density Residential District) to a I-1 District (Institutional District) the parcel of land hereinafter described:

Commence at the Northeast corner of Section 14, Township 19 North, Range 26 East, Lee County, Alabama, thence run North 89 degrees 52 minutes West for 60.3 feet to the point of beginning of the tract or parcel of land herein to be described and conveyed; thence run South 0 degrees 10 minutes West for 221.2 feet to the center line of an old abandoned railroad bed; thence following said center line run North 88 degrees 03 minutes West for 384.7 feet; thence run South 85 degrees 18 minutes West for 227.8 feet to the eastern margin of Preister Road; thence along said margin run North 2 degrees 38 minutes West for 221.0 feet; thence leaving said margin of said road run North 89 degrees 27 minutes East for 622.3 feet along said section line to the point of beginning; containing 3.03 acres, more or less, all as shown by map or plat of survey by William L.
