The 5th Saturday Sale, a new event to promote downtown Opelika and its merchants, will be held March 31 from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Taylor Sumrall, Taylor Made Designs owner, said the sale is a combined effort between her business and Opelika Main Street to give locals and visitors alike an insight into the city’s thriving downtown area.
“We’re trying to have a wider variety of events and activities in downtown … and we thought this was a fun way to make the most of a longer month with an extra Saturday. Most people are already out and about, and we want to make this sale extra special for them,” Sumrall said. “…Opelika has a lot of unique attributes in its stores and restaurants, places you can’t find in any other town. I want this event to encourage people to come and check out our stores and see what they have to offer not only that day, but year-round.”
Following is a current list of participating merchants, which has yet to be finalized:
Almost Anything
Coveted Closet
Collaboration Station
Four Corners Ministries
Fringe
Gallery on Railroad
Heritage Gifts
Maria’s Jewelers
Railroad Junktion
