OPELIKA — Beasley Allen Law Firm is pleased to announce the appointment of Gavin King as Principal.
King has been an integral part of Beasley Allen since joining the firm as an associate in 2020. He has represented plaintiffs in environmental litigation, product liability, personal injury and consumer protection cases.
He has been named to the National Black Lawyers Top 40 Under 40 since 2022 and named a Midsouth Super Lawyers “Rising Star” since 2022. In 2025, he was featured in Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in America for environmental litigation. Notably, he was part of a team that secured over $728 million in settlements for the Alabama Attorney General’s Office and served as lead trial counsel in a significant wrongful death case in 2021.
King is a member of the Alabama, Georgia and North Carolina state bars. Additionally, he serves on the Executive Committee of the Alabama State Bar Young Lawyers’ Section and the Board of Directors for the Montgomery County Bar Association. He also represents the Middle District for the Alabama Lawyers’ Association and is active in the Alabama Association for Justice. Within this association, he is part of the Emerging Leaders and is a proud graduate of the inaugural ELITE Leadership Academy class.
King is a native of Opelika and is married to the former Erica Williams of Birmingham. They have two daughters and now reside in Montgomery, where they are active members of Hutchinson Missionary Baptist Church. In his free time, Gavin enjoys following Mississippi State athletics and hunting with his bird dog, Judge.
