October Events Raise Awareness for Breast Cancer The Observer Staff 1 year ago PHOTOS CONTRIBUTED TO THE OBSERVERThe Knee High Foundation and the 100 Black Men of Greater Auburn Opelika held a Run For the Cause event to raise breast cancer awareness Saturday, Oct. 14.Bishop Norman Hardman Sr. kicked off Breast Cancer Awareness Month at Mount of Transfiguration in Opelika by bringing the community together in praise, worship and fellowship.The committee prepared food for the residents and families. Each participant received a gift in supporting breast cancer. The fight has begun. The Cancer Walk will take place at the closing Saturday of the month. Let’s Stand Together in Lee County.
