Auburn Supports Emergency Services

AUBURN —
The Auburn City Council met Tuesday night and approved an agreement with the East Alabama Healthcare Authority for the fiscal year 2024 contract.
“The Fiscal Year-2024 Emergency Response, Rescue and Ambulance Service Agreement is up for renewal,” said a memorandum from City Manager Megan Crouch to the Public Safety Services Executive Director Will Mathews. “This agreement between the city of Auburn and East Alabama Healthcare Authority is for East Alabama Healthcare Authority to continue to provide ambulance service for the city of Auburn for the period Oct. 1, 2023, through Sept. 30, 2024.”
Lee County, the city of Opelika and the city of Auburn are all in contract with the East Alabama Healthcare Authority.
The services include routine response, emergency response, rescue service and ambulance transport service.
