Last week, the Opelika Kiwanis Club hosted Opelika High School varsity head football coach Erik Speakman. He talked about how the Bulldogs are preparing for their upcoming schedule. The guest speaker for the Aug. 24 Opelika Kiwanis Club meeting will be Sarah Stewart. She has put in a bid for Alabama chief justice.
Opelika High School head varsity football coach Erik Speakman was a recent guest of the Opelika Lions Club. He discussed the Bulldogs’ practice schedule and upcoming regular season, beginning with Thompson in Montgomery’s Cramton Bowl for the annual AHSAA Kickoff Classic. Speakman is entering his 24th year at Opelika and his sixth as head football coach. He was introduced by Lion James Morgan Jr. (right).
