William Florence Jr. “Bill” of Opelika, died early in the morning on Nov. 5, at East Alabama Medical Center. He was born on May 11, 1955. Bill was employed by Auburn University and a member of First Baptist Church. He was an accomplished carpenter and an avid bass fisherman. He was the director of Alabama Bass Federation Nation for District 6 and President of the Auburn Bass Masters. He will be greatly missed by many.

Bill is survived by his wife, Lisa Caldwell Florence; daughter, Carly Florence Potts of Fort Drum, New York; son-in-law, William Potts, Afghanistan; parents, William C. Sr. and Myrtle Baker Florence; sister, Julie Florence Buchanan of Atlanta, Georgia; brother, Larry H. Florence of Waverly; cousin/sister, Susan Cooper Rosenbloom of Vernal, Utah; in-laws, Ray and Yvonne Caldwell of Valley, Dennis and Janine Caldwell of Valley; and a number of other close friends, coworkers, and family members.
