Capp’s Landing’s newest restaurant, Freddy’s Frozen Custard and Steakburgers, was granted a conditional use permit by the Opelika Planning Commission last Tuesday.
The commission also accepted a site plan for a climate controlled warehouse, with further commission action pending. In question is the height of the warehouse units, because they are located next to the end of the Auburn Airport runway. The business owner can only proceed after FAA approval, which will take two months.
In other business, the commission:
-tabled a preliminary/final plat for Phase 2 for 20 lots at Sentinel Hills Subdivision on Lee Road 2192.
-approved a conditional use request for Beshears Tractor and Equipment on Columbus Parkway.
-approved a preliminary plat for Phase 3 for 57 lots at Creekstone Subdivision on Creekstone Drive.
-approved a preliminary/final plat for two lots in Waldrop Subdivision on Lee Road 390.
-approved a final plat for Phase 1 for 58 lots at The Reserve at Wyndham Gates on Gateway Drive.
