John T. McGuire
1950-2017
John T. McGuire of Opelika, Alabama was born in Macon County on February 13, 1950 and passed away at Bethany House on December 9, 2017. He was 67 years old.
He was of the Baptist faith. He was in the United States Army having served in combat during Vietnam.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Louise T. McGuire and Thomas Franklin McGuire. He is survived by his son, John Tom McGuire; brother, Riley McGuire (Sheila), and sister, Judy Wilkes (Jerry); aunt Betty Kenney (Ray); uncle, V.B. Chambers, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members. Visitation was held at Loachapoka Baptist Church on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 from 12:00 Noon until 1:45 p.m.
Funeral service was held at Loachapoka Baptist Church on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. Interment followed at Frank McGuire Cemetery in Loachapoka.
