Ileta Sumners
Mrs. Ileta Sumners, age 96, was born on February 2, 1921, in Geneva, Alabama, to William M. Welch and Ammirilla Delouch Welch. She passed away on December 20, 2017, at Arbor Springs Health and Rehab Center in Opelika, Alabama.
She lived most of her life in Opelika and was a member of 1st United Methodist Church of Opelika.
Mrs. Sumners is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Earl Sumners; her daughter, Angelia S. Kesner of Hinesville, GA.; as well as her two grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one great, great-grandchild.
The visitation for Mrs. Sumners was held on Dec. 22, at Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home. A funeral service was held on Dec. 23, at 11:00 a.m. in the Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Robin Wilson officiating.
Burial followed the service in Garden Hills Cemetery.
