Helen Marian Hiltbold, age 88, of Auburn, was born in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada on June 1, 1923, and passed away in Opelika, on Dec. 8, 2011, at East Alabama Medical Center.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Auburn. She was born to the late William and Winifred Thomson.
Hiltbold was preceded in death by two brothers, Alexander and Walter Thomson. She is survived by her husband, Arthur E. Hiltbold; son, William Hiltbold (Billie Ann) and their children, Elise, Matthew, Ethan and Brooke Hiltbold; son, Edward Hiltbold; daughter, Elizabeth Schwartz (Dan) and their children, Rachel and Amy Schwartz.
A funeral service was held on Dec. 11, 2011, at 3 p.m. in the Chapel at the First Presbyterian Church of Auburn. Reverend Dr. Frank Covington officiated. Visitation was held immediately following the service. Interment followed in Auburn Memorial Park Cemetery.
