The Alabama Municipal Electric Authority, along with the City of Opelika, presented V3 Media Group with a $5,000 grant from the AMEA Special Projects Economic Development Fund.
V3 received the grant based on the company’s investment in a new facility and the jobs they created in Opelika. The group bought a historic building in downtown Opelika and did a complete renovation.
This is another example of revitalization and economic growth in downtown Opelika. The AMEA Special Projects Fund is a program designed to assist its member communities with community and economic development projects.
“Our entire team is incredibly humbled to be awarded the AMEA grant from AMEA and the City of Opelika. We are proud to invest ourselves and our business into Opelika and look forward to growing our community together,” said V3 Owner Dale Vaughn.
AMEA is the wholesale provider for 11 public power utilities in Alabama, which serves nearly 350,000 customers in the cities of Alexander City, Dothan, Fairhope, Foley, LaFayette, Lanett, LuVerne, Opelika, Piedmont, Sylacauga and Tuskegee.
