Funeral service for Leroy Logan, Jr., 67, of Opelika, AL, was at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 18, 2017, at Christ Temple Holiness Church, 610 Clanton Street, Opelika, AL 36801 with interment in Garden Hills Cemetery, Bishop Kenneth Carter, Sr., Officiating.
Pastor Logan, who passed away Monday, November 13, 2017 at his home in Opelika, AL, was born February 24, 1950 in Lee County, Alabama.
Public viewing was held on Friday, November 17, 2017, from 1 – 7 p.m.
Mr. Logan lay in repose at the church one hour prior to the service.
Survivors include: wife, Gwendolyn Logan of Opelika, AL; two daughters, LaWanda Logan and LaShanda Logan both of Opelika, AL; four sisters, Nellie B. Logan, Daisy Walker, Kidola Reese and Susie Logan all of Opelika, AL; one brother, Louis Logan of Opelika, AL; two uncles, Lonnie (Mary) Nelms and Roy Lee Burks both of Auburn, AL; two aunts, Cleo Nelms of Beauregard, AL and Grace Logan of Opelika, AL; four sisters-in-law, Henrietta Parker of Chicago, IL, Diane Pennington , Susan Bibb of Birmingham, AL and Brenda McGhee; two brothers-in-law, Roy (Jean) Hearns of Bessemer, AL and Thoma s Hearns of Birmingham, AL a special god-son, Alton (Diane) Ligon of Beauregard, AL; two special god-daughters, Synthia Edwards of Phenix City, AL and Roshanda Dunn of Opelika, AL; two special nephews, David Logan and Frank Walker; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
