Colt Stillwell

Colt Stillwell (Monroe Benjamin Stillwell, V, or the coolest kid you ever met) passed away at the age of 25 on October 14, 2017, due to complications from Cockayne Syndrome. You might have known him through his involvement with Best Buddies, Braveheart, Miracle League, or Storybook Farm. Maybe you were moved to buy him a toy truck or pray for him at the grocery store, or maybe you watched him ride his tricycle at Opelika High, Smith Station High, or across the stage when he graduated from Beulah High School in 2012.
Colt loved cheering for Auburn, fishing with PawPaw, and flirting with the ladies. He was a master Lego tower builder and an avid collector of Hot Wheels cars. He was the bright, smiling center of every room he ever entered. He was loved fiercely and well.
Colt is preceded in death by grandfathers, Jackie Stillwell of Salem, Ala., and Dennis Fondren of Sheffield, Ala., and survived by parents, Benjie and Karen Stillwell; grandmothers, Christine Stillwell and Mary Fondren; siblings, Ashley Hansana, Olay Hansana, and Meagan Davis; aunts and uncles, Linda Frederick (Mike), Ann Winborne, Christi Staggs, and Mark Stillwell (Carol); many loving cousins; and a long list of heartbroken girlfriends.
Visitation was held Friday, October 20th from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home. The funeral service was held Saturday, October 21st at 2:00 p.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church in Opelika, with burial following at Salem United Methodist Cemetery.
Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home directed.
