Bernard Chance
Bernard Chance, 72, of Opelika, Alabama, passed away Sunday, April 23, 2017. He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Chance; parents, Milton and Vera Chance; and brother, Wayne Chance. Bernard is survived by his daughters, Carla King (Danny), and Melissa Still (Mark); son, Chris Chance (Melissa); grandchildren, Nicholas Chance, Parker King, Kaitlyn King, Ryder Chance, Shelby Still and Natalie Still; and brother, Billy Ray Chance. Mr. Chance was a long-time employee of Flowers Bakery in Opelika; retiring in 2007. He served his country as a member of the U.S. Army fighting in the Vietnam War. Bernard was an active member of First Baptist Church of Opelika.
Visitation with family was from 12:00 p.m. – 1:45 p.m. Wednesday, April 26, 2017, at Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home with a funeral service following at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel. Dr. Mike King officiated.
