Mrs. Nannie Ann Thompson, 79, of Opelika, Alabama, passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at her home in Opelika. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her children, Harold Lee Gillispie, Frankie Adkins and Rickie Briscoe, Sr. Mrs. Thompson is survived by her husband, Thomas Thompson; children, Sherry Ann Barker, Diana (Arnold) Rouse, Vickie (David) Nelson, Pamela Gothard, Tim Thompson, Mechell (Keith) Mitchell, and Michael (Susan) Thompson; grandchildren, Danyelle Briscoe (Randy Hall), Brandon Nelson, Dorisel Briscoe (Rebecca Hively), Rickie Briscoe, Jr., Zachary Briscoe, Mallory Mitchell, Gracen Mitchell, Allyson Thompson, Michael Thompson, Natalie Thompson and Rachel (Seth) Godaire; great-grandchildren, Kensleigh Thompson, Zoey Daughtry, and Brayden Hall; sister, Geraldine Pauley; and special friends, Pat & Jeff Wilson, Rebecca Echols and Brandi Hunt. Nannie Ann was a special person, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be missed by everyone blessed enough to know her.
Her family will have a private memorial service to celebrate her life.
