The 23rd biannual On the Tracks event will be held in downtown Opelika April 21.
This spring’s edition of the event will feature more than 21 stops offering food and beverage samplings from downtown businesses like MaFia’s, Niffer’s at the Tracks, Red Clay Brewery and more.
Local musical acts including the Blackberry Possum, Dallas Dorsey and The Brokers will be performing throughout the event, and downtown shops Almost Anything and Heritage Gifts among others, will offer storewide specials and discounts, as well as extended hours for On the Tracks patrons.
Event VIPs will have their own area on the third floor of Zazu’s Gastropub, where hors d’oeuvres and refreshments will be served.
Opelika Main Street Director Carla Nelson said the event not only brings in revenue for the city, but exposure as well.
“On the Tracks has been an event that’s been happening in downtown Opelika for many years, and it’s very popular and it’s a really fun way for people that may not know much about Opelika to experience everything that it has to offer such as its restaurants and stores,” Nelson said.
Regular tickets are $30 in advance, $35 the day of the event. VIP tickets will cost $40, and military members will receive discounts off each ticketing option. “Will Call” will be at Café 123, where patrons will be given a wristband and map to navigate the event.
