Henry Lawrence “Larry” Holladay, Jr., 70, of Opelika, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 15, 2015. Visitation was Thursday, November 19, from 5-7 p.m. at JeffCoat-Trant Funeral Home & Crematory.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Carol; their three children, Michael Holladay (Carla), Valerie Thompson (Ron), and Angel Holladay (Anthony); his sister, Betty Tatum; 10 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.

Ruth Elisabeth Hill
Ruth Elisabeth Hill, 95, died Friday, November 12, 2015, at Bethany House where resided for less than one day. Ruth lived out her last years in the home she and husband, Arwood Hill, Jr., built together in 1968. Ruth and Arwood were married for 58 years until he passed away in 1995.
Ruth was not only a loving wife, but had a family she loved. She is survived by her sister, Betty Johnson; children, George Hill and Eleck Hill; grandchildren, Monica Seifried, Matthew Arnold, Tammy Doak, Erick Hill, Shawn Hill, Matt Hill; and is also survived by countless great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and friends.
A funeral service and celebration of her life was held at Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home & Crematory in Opelika, Alabama. Visitation was 12:30- 2 p.m. and funeral service at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, November 18, 2015. Burial followed in Garden Hills Cemetery. Reverend Earl Ballard officiated.
