The 2nd annual Bulls, Bands and Barrels tour will be stampeding into Lee County Aug. 9.

Sponsored by Ole South Entertainment, owner Hunter Price said the BBB tour offers patrons something most rodeos lack. “Bulls, Bands and Barrels features the two most exciting events in rodeo, bull riding and barrel racing,” Price said. “But unlike many traditional rodeos, we round out the event with local musicians and entertainers, making it a night of good ole southern fun.”

The event will feature local country/southern rock group the Blane Rudd Band. Musician Charlie Muncaster will take the stage when the gates open at 5:30 p.m. and the rodeo will start at 7 p.m.

“Cowboys will be taking on 30 of the rankest, meanest bulls in the southeast,” Price said. “And women will be racing 12 of the fastest equines to run a three barrel pattern.”

Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for children 12 and younger.

Patrons can purchase tickets at the gate, at Bubba’s Medicine Shop on 2nd Avenue and at Play It Again Sports, 3051 Frederick Road in Opelika.

A portion of the proceeds will directly benefit Storybook Farms, a local nonprofit organization offering children with special needs a variety of equestrian-assisted activities.
