M. T. Table 1924-2012
A funeral service for M. T. Table, 88, of Opelika was held at 12 p.m. on June 30, at James Varick Christian Center with interment in the church cemetery. Bishop James Fears officiated.
Table passed on Sunday, June 24, 2012, at the Bethany House. He was a member of James Varick Christian Center.
Survivors include a son, W.T. (Dorothy) Table, Opelika; two devoted granddaughters, Lisa Miles and Diane Miles; eight grandchildren, Willie Foster, Charlie Baker, Steven Staples, Jessie Baker, Leon (Marlena) Baker, Kenneth Miles, Anthony Miles and Tommy Miles; four devoted great grandchildren, MyKeshia Miles, Moeshia Alvis, TaMaques Harris and Shanbria Coleman; twenty great grandchildren; brothers-in-law, Andrew Harris and J.C. Miles both of Opelika; a sister-in-law, Hattie Table, Columbus, Ga.; god-daughter, LaTonya Oates, Opelika; a devoted niece, Rosie Mae Jones, Opelika; special nephews, Leon Florence and Jouokrus Reed both of Opelika; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

D. Irene Anderson 1921-2012
D. Irene (Gibson) Anderson, born at home on Aug. 31, 1921 near Humboldt, Nebraska, passed away on Monday, June 25, 2012, in Opelika at age 90. She was raised in Blue Springs, Neb. and met her husband, Marshall Conrad Anderson in Lincoln, Neb., during WWII.
Irene and Marshall raised two daughters and a son while living in California and Virginia, and moved to Vero Beach, Fla. after retirement. There she was active in her church and community and was a gracious hostess to many, many visitors in their home.
They were married for more than 60 years, until his death in 2003. Soon after, health problems obliged her to move to Monarch Estates and recently to Arbor Springs Nursing and Rehab Center in Opelika.
Irene is survived by her three children: Connie Strickland of Marietta, Ga., Kay (Paul) Milshaw of Birdsboro, Pa. and Scott (Susan) Anderson of Opelika.
Besides her children, Irene also delighted in her grandchildren, Christy (Jeremy) Schaeffer of Reading, Pa., and John and Eric Anderson of Auburn, and two great-grandchildren, Kasey and Colin Schaeffer.
Though she’ll be greatly missed, her family is thankful to have had her as a mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and great-grandmother. Irene looked forward to heaven, and now she’s finally home.
A memorial service was held at 4 p.m. on July 2, at Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home. At a later date her remains will be buried next to her husband in a memorial garden in Vero Beach, Fla.

Mary Lynne Chapman Rencher
Mary Lynne Chapman Rencher, wife of Opelika native Daniel Rencher, III, M.D., and resident of Mobile since 1969, died on July 1, 2012, of pancreatic cancer.
Lynne was a life-long tennis player and was active in the Mobile community. For many years, she read for the blind on public radio and was a volunteer tennis teacher at the Wilmer Hall Children’s Home. She was a women’s tennis coach at Spring Hill College, was the Alabama Tennis Association’s Women’s 55 Singles Champion, and was inducted into the Mobile Tennis Hall of Fame.
She was a member of St. Paul ‘s Episcopal Church in Spring Hill. She loved her family, and spent every chance tending to her beautiful garden. Lynne grew up in New Orleans and she graduated from the Louis S. McGehee School and Newcomb College of Tulane University. She is the oldest child of Dr. and Mrs. Sims Chapman and has two sisters, Mrs. David Goodyear of Abita Springs, La., and Mrs. Colin McRae of Berkeley, Calif. and one brother, Sims Chapman, Jr., of Baton Rouge, La.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, three sons and daughters-in-law, Daniel Mitchell Rencher, IV, Dawn Archer Rencher, Jeffrey Chapman Rencher, Michelle McDermott Rencher, Benjamin Lewis Rencher, and Thais Richardson Rencher, and five grandchildren, Margaret Alma Rencher, Mary Lois Rencher, Benjamin Lewis Rencher, Jr., Natalie Lynne Rencher, and Kamila Michalena Rencher.
Burial will be private. The family requests that any donations be made in her memory to the donor’s charity of choice.
Homer Thurman Hart 1913-2012
Homer Thurman Hart, a resident of Auburn and a former resident of Dothan, passed away on June 30, at the age of 99. Known to friends as Homer T., Mr. Hart was a resident at Camellia Place in Auburn. He was born May 23, 1913, in Conecuh County, to Willie Pickens and William C. Hart.
After graduation from high school in Evergreen, Homer T. was employed by The Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company for more than 44 years. He served 47 months active duty with the U.S. Army Engineers and six years with the Army Reserves. Hart was a faithful member of the United Methodist Church for more than 91 years. Homer T. was preceded in death by both parents, his beloved wife of more than 52 years, Sara Webster Hart, and his four siblings: Doris Hart Lowe, Ila Mae Hart Sawyer, Beth Hart Hyde, and William Glenn Hart. He is survived by his loving daughter, Sara Hart Raley, son-in-law, James Phillip (Phil) Raley, grandson, Jim Raley, granddaughter, Leigh Raley Mims, and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service was held at Memory Hill Cemetery in Dothan, on July 2, at 4 p.m. Dr. Jim Sanders officiated.
A memorial service was held at First United Methodist Church of Opelika on July 3, at 10 a.m., officiated by Dr. Tim Thompson and Reverend Randy Woodham.

George W. Studstill 1941-2012
George W. Studstill, age 70, of Opelika, was born on July 24, 1941, in Hialeah, Fla. and passed away on July 1, 2012, at East Alabama Medical Center of Opelika.
Studstill was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Studstill. He is survived by a daughter, Vicki Baptista; granddaughters, Amy Nelson and Annette Moore; five great grandchildren, Chase, Matthew, Nathan, Gregory and Alahna; and his beloved brothers and sisters. A visitation was held on July 5, 2012, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Fredericks Funeral Home.
