Gerald Sullivan, 63, of Opelika passed away on Dec. 28, 2011, in Montgomery. He was born on Jan. 8, 1948, in Florala, Ala., and grew up in Midland City. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served during the Vietnam Era. Sullivan was a manufacturing supervisor for G.E. in Dothan, Ala., and Michelin in Opelika.

He is survived by wife, Brenda Sullivan; two sons, Lance Sullivan and Mark Sullivan; daughter, Gina Sullivan all of Opelika; sister, Mary Gatlin of Wicksburg, Ala.; and mother-in-law, Opal Virginia (GiGi) Johnson. He was preceded in death by brothers, Roy Elton Sullivan, James Terrell (Boots) Sullivan; and sisters, Frankie Sue Sullivan, and Peggie Ann Wood.

A memorial service was held at 1 p.m. on Dec. 31, 2011, at Jeffcoat-Trant Chapel. Visitation followed the memorial service.
