Harvey Clay Renegar

Harvey Clay Renegar, 81, of Opelika, passed away Wednesday, October 14, 2015, at Bethany House in Auburn. A memorial service was held 2 p.m. Sunday, October 18, 2015, at Jeffcoat-Trant Chapel.  Reverend Rudet Adkinson officiated.
Mr. Renegar was born in North Carolina on June 27, 1934.  He was the manager of F. W. Woolworth in Opelika from 1961 until 1980 and then worked at Ampex until his retirement.  He was a member of the Opelika Lion’s Club for many years and was an active member of the Restoration Church.
Mr. Renegar is survived by his wife, Shirley Lambeth Renegar; daughters, Deborah Renegar and Karen Renegar Ponder both of Lakeland, Florida; son, Keith (Linda) Renegar of Auburn; grandchildren, Hunter Ponder of Lakeland, Florida, Christy Robel Alexander of Phoenixville, Pennsylvania; and sister, Shirley Teague of High Point, North Carolina.
The family respectfully requests no flowers.  Donations may be made to the Restoration Church or the Lee County Humane Society.

1934 – 2015

Irene Adams Rudd-Walter, 81, of Opelika was born June 5, 1934, in Franklin, Georgia, and went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 15, 2015, at her home while surrounded by her loving family.  Funeral service was held 10 a.m. at Jeffcoat-Trant Chapel Saturday, October 17, 2015, burial followed at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery.  Visitation was 6-8 p.m. Friday, October 16, 2015, at Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home.  Reverends Charlie Horton, Mike Newman, and Eddie Rudd officiated.
Irene was born and raised in Franklin, Georgia, to the late Cecil Mae and Huey Adams.  Her husband of 48 years James “Jimmy” Rudd, a daughter Debbie Sue Rudd, an infant son Kenny Rudd, and brothers Junior and Jerry Adams predeceased her. Irene’s surviving family is: her loving husband and devoted step-father, Tommie Walter; daughter Lois (Earle) Hale of Opelika; daughter Nancy (Buddy Bo) Dennis of Dadeville; daughter Susan (James) Jarrell of Opelika; son Pastor Eddie (Christine) Rudd of Dudley, Georgia; one granddaughter Stacey (Eric) McKinley of Jackson Gap; seven grandsons Chris Hale of Georgia, Clint Dennis of Dadeville, Wade Allen of Opelika, Chad Allen of Opelika, Mathew (Lindsey) Rudd of Statesboro, Georgia, Jacob (Britney) Rudd of Cochran, Georgia, Daniel (Mandy) Rudd of Dudley, Georgia; fourteen great-grandchildren Declan Hale, Mckayla Hale, Trent (Serena) Mckinley, Trevor McKinley, Trip McKinley, and Tess McKinley, Connor Dennis, Maddelynn Rudd, Camyrn Rudd, Kolbie Rudd, Madison Hood, Peyton Hood, Nathan Rudd, Bailey Rudd; one great great-grandson Tristan McKinley; three sisters, Joyce (Earl) Thompson, Peggy (Robert) Holloway, Judy Mitchell all of Franklin, Georgia; and numerous beloved nieces, nephews, and friends.
